I comment on this every time I am sent a post flight BA survey, and have done for many years, but nothing changes.
I 100% agree. How difficult would it be to call up F passengers first - max 14 of them. On a lot of planes with F there will be F passengers, GCHs and Business class passengers all trying to be Group 1 - complete scrum.
IAD did A380 boarding nicely. They used two gates - I think one for downstairs and one for upstairs. At each gate they then had 4 lines sectioned off for Group 1, Group 2 and 3, Group 4 and 5 and then everyone else. Amazing this can be better at IAD than at BA's LHR hub. There is room at most of the A380 C gates to have a similar set of lines as apposed to the current setup of one for Group 1 and a snake for everything else, they could probably fit in a small line for F as well. People should be invited to take up these lines as soon as they arrive at the gate if they wish thereby avoiding the current scrum around the gate entrance.
