Refundable fares can be found at quite reasonable pricing post-Covid as there are refundable fare options all the way down to V class on many routes. Domestically, the upsell price to refundable fares can be as little as $30 each way. For example, non-refundable V main cabin fares are $109 each-way on DTW-BWI and refundable V fares are $139 each-way. Poster should have no problem finding refundable fares in the $900 range to meet 800 MQD requirement.
