Is LH Requesting CC or Checking account for compensation?

#1 - I applied for compensation (with all appropriate documentation) for expenses and inconvenience due to canceled flights/interruption and delayed travel from the LH Pilot Strike in Sept. I've been approved and they are requesting "Bank Information". Does that mean they will offer a reimbursement via CC credit on the original form of purchase or must I send my checking account info over email? Don't love the security issues related to sending my bank account info unsecured and I can't get anyone on the phone.

#2 - I'm not very familiar with LH processes. Has anyone had success when suggesting that the amount they are offering is insufficient based on the $$ of applicable receipts submitted? Might they be flexible if we are requesting a higher amount of compensation?

#3 -
The email response from LH did not specify whether this is for compensation for the trip interruption/> 24 hour flight delay (inconvenience of the International flight cancellation, subsequent re-routing and re-booking of our outbound flight) - which should have been covered by law
OR
Was this a reimbursement for the expenses incurred based on the situation above - which we were told they would cover.

The claim was submitted under one travelers name and email since all the reservations and all receipts where in that name.

BUT......... if it was for the flight cancellation, there were 2 travelers on that ticket that were inconvenienced so shouldn't BOTH travelers be compensated?
OR
Was it a reimbursement for the following expenses:
missing the first night at the hotel in our desired destination which we were not able to cancel so close to arrival,
needing to book a night in an airport hotel at an overnight destination that we had not planned to visit,
taxi fare to/from that hotel
that night's dinner

All receipts submitted and none were unreasonable for amounts $$.

The amount offered (as listed in the quote above) by LH did not cover Both of these scenarios nor even Either situation for the full claim submitted.
