I have a strong feeling that besides airport and government imposed taxes, Frontier would charge their "Carrier Interface Charge" ( which is usually $23 per segment and $10 on some Tue/Wed flights ) on these bookings which might still be less advantageous than purchasing $10 + tax tickets at an airport counter without the CIC.
