It has been a month since Ian so I thought I would call as we have reservations for January (adults only) and March with the grandkids. Spoke to someone at the hotel today and she said they are reopening on November 7th, but only the adult pool and the fountain pool are open. Lazy river, huge slide, the other pool with two slide and the poolside restaurant are all closed as the restaurant and slides were demolished. Also the walkway to the boat and the boat dock have also been demolished. She said it has taken them a month to get all of the bacteria out of the two pools they are reopening. I asked when the other pools and restaurant would open and she said she didn't know but it would be months as they are on a wait list for materials. She was so kind and I felt so bad for her. She also said they are being lenient with cancellations so she encouraged me to get our reservations (using points as I am a Globalist) and we could cancel them close to the date of arrival. We have been taking the grandkids here for spring break for 7 years and they love this place. But do not think we will go if the pools for the kids are still closed. I feel such empathy for these people as they have the nicest and kindest employees who always treat us so well.
