Overall, I'd go with the Andaz, as I think the rooms are big enough even without using a TSU, there are refreshments 24/7 in both the room and the lobby, a fair enough availability of Japanese items in the breakfast buffet, and the evening drinks in the lobby are good enough for an initial buzz, but not so great as to make you want to spend several hours there (though the Rooftop Bar may well fit that bill). If you have the opportunity to split off a couple nights at PHT, I think your GF would appreciate that as well.

But GHT isn't necessarily "wrong" either, so your current plan is perfectly fine too.

Thank you so much for your help. GHT when I'm going will be during a offpeak time so it's significantlly less points vs PHT.

Although I'm not a huge fan of Roppongi area, I actually got drunk and didn't want to take a taxi home from a Roppongi club (didn't care for the scene) so I decided to walk all the way to my hostel in Taito City after train hours. My 20s were weird.

Sega arcades are actually not high on my list, I just met my gf at Round 1 here in the states playing DDR as it's our way of doing cardio so we would've liked to see the Japan scene, but not at the expense of riding the train home all sweaty and unhygienic. I supposed a local bath house could fix that though.

Since I usually do yearly Japan trips pre covid, I'll plan the next one around PHT. Hoping Hyatt finally gets a decent location in Sapporo one day.
