Less than 12 hours, but it is overnight. I know AS would let me check through to CVG if the second flight was AS. However, I've never done this with AA in the mix.

AS boards seem to think I can check all the way through still. Any guidance from AA on this? Wiki seems to imply overnight stops are not allowed. So maybe it is up to AS to hold the luggage overnight and check it?

Thanks in advance.
It depends totally on AS's rules as that is who you will check in with. If you were flying AA all the way, the bags would be checked through because the layover is less than 12 hours - overnight or not.
