Yeah its super frustrating I feel. I called in one day about it and the AMEX travel specialist told me that they could actually book nearly any night if I wanted but...couldn't book the prepaid rate. Which then you couldn't get the FHR $200 credit, but she assured me that the benifits would still apply. I'm not totaly confident in that??? Seemed a bit odd, but its worth a try calling in if you have some specific dates.
Also worth noting it seems you CAN book through Virtuoso and get many of the same benifits.
