Wanted to understand how the priority goes for companions when only some have status. Does it go based on the highest status of the order? Or each one gets its own priority based on their own status. For instance, assuming I'm 1K, does my wife and kids get my priority? Or since she has only silver (and kids don't have any elite status) they will be lower in line.

Is it possible that my wife and I get it (elite status) and kids will not? I'd be surprised if United will small kids fly by themselves in economy :-)
