Slippery slopes (first TP runs)
I spent a decade or so easily qualifying for Gold with work travel and never being close enough to GGL to make that a possibility. So no need for TP runs ever. Then the pandemic and all the travel impacts that followed meant I needed a small handful of extra TPs to renew Gold this year. Thus I was tempted into my first ever TP run. Of course, I proclaimed to family how it was a hassle and I wouldn't enjoy it etc. But actually (ssshhh!) it was kinda fun. Next year is already looking like a comfortable renewal again. But I ask myself have I been enticed enough by my one TP run that I am at risk of getting lured into unjustifiable extra TP runs next year to finally hit GGL?
Any others here start out with just a "one off" and snowballed into annual TP runs for the next BAEC level that was never the original plan?
