Since PN > PZ, it is weird that OP was cleared onto PZ space. Nevertheless, if we see more data points, we may have to guess what has been changed for the upgrade priority, for example, GS with own PP to PN, others with GS's PP to PZ (but still ahead of 1K PP in the priority order). We will find out what is cooking at UA HQ regarding the PP upgrade priority.
I have this happening numerous times, all at the gate or on the same day of departure.
My own upgrades cleared to PZ instead of PN. Same thing when I sponsored upgrades for others.
I think when PZ=PN=0, the agent or the system just didn't distinguish between PZ and PN on the day of departure.
