I am booked on a flight next June from Anchorage to O'Hare on an A321neo. It appears according to the (SeatGuru) seat map that rows 18-21 seats D-E-F are "Main Cabin Extra" However, across the aisle in the same rows, A-B-C are not. I thought that was a little strange. Can anyone comment on this? I'm asking because I'm currently in row 21, Seat D (aisle)

It's about AA squeezing as many seats on the aircraft as will fit, while dealing with then location of exit rows and lavatories.

On the A-B-C side, between the wing exit row seats and the rear lavatory, AA only has room for regular economy rows.
On the D-E-F side, where there's no rear lavatory, AA has an additional row of seats -- and the two rows behind the wing exit row seats are MCE.
