Does anyone have experience booking (deeply!) discounted resident rates? I am (HH Gold) not a resident of the country, but my companion is.

Can I book this rate under my HH account and add the resident as guest to get the gold bonus points and stay credits? The resident rate already includes breakfast and parking.
