I think BA haven't realized the change in Forex recently and deems it necessary to amend the rates, for example, when Lira dropped to hell over the course of a few days a while back, I knew many rushed to luxury shops(LV, Gucci etc.) to buy stuff at a huge discount when converted back to EUR/USD/CNY. Thus, many TNCs would shut their business operation when high fluctuations in Forex happens.
