Someone mentioned earlier about free extensions for GGL.
I got at least 2 years of that after the IT failure a few years ago when someone pulled out a plug or whatever.

Even then, when business travel was going well, and people were earning GGL / CCR cards off their own dime, there wasn't exactly much being spent on things. A few different bits of mismatched furniture and some rearranging, but they can't use the same excuses now as then for why things are not being modernised etc.

I said ages ago that there should be a CCR entrance from the first check-in desks rather than funnelling people through the first wing, but then again, that would require more staff for a limited number of customers that probably wouldn't be financially worth it to either BA or HAL (or whoever does what these days).
Also believe there's too much wasted space in T5, and domestic / shortish haul feeder flights should be out of T5C etc. rather than T5A which should have been international flights only in order to keep pax spending ££££ in shopping areas etc. as long as possible.

I should get GGL in the next week or two, mostly off my own spend, and not a massive amount to boot. Much prefer to use AA these days to be honest as what's available with them seems better in my opinion.
Looking forward to a final JFK CCR visit though.
