I had my first stay at this property a month ago when I was in town for a special occasion.
After walking for like three miles through ORD to the shuttle area I was shocked that it was waiting for me! The hotel also is home to United airline exployees, and we had a nice talk on the airline and other things.
Check-in was fast and I got the Starwood Platinum top floor. Very nice, refurbished room with the Sweet Sleeper bed. The layout was like the Embassy Suites. I noticed the minibar was shut off and most items empty.
It was a little tough to find a COKE machine (remember, it's a Starwood property and Pepsi is not available.) They could use soda machines (prefertably Pepsi ones) on every floor.
The breakfast coupons were a very nice touch. It was a decent spread with ham and bacon and Frosted Flakes. A good deal.
I don't recall any Club room. The place could use a real business center. I had to get something on the Internet and discovered the "business center" was in a corner of the gift shop with somewhat high rates for access.
Note to self: get a Wifi card for my laptop!!!
The bar was pretty nice and large with pool tables and video game machines. I played a game of pool (and lost) to a nice female guest.
Overall a good hotel and I would stay there again.
