All good today - received a follow up on the case that this was fixed, and my account now shows the balance based on the 379,000 redemption. It was also however noted that any further changes will result in the adjustment being clawed back.
Anyone else having this issue, it's best to contact Marriott Bonvoy and let them figure it out, and not the hotel.
