But as you say, that's BA's choice to make. I'll react according, but it's their call.
As a more recent denizen of the CCR it seems that BA shot themselves in the foot by extending ggls for another year without any earning whatsoever. Clearly their decision but many of those customers won't be coming back when their term expires (we see their tales of woe on here) and they will clearly be making hay while they can.
Sunday lunchtime the ccr was busy but there were a lot of transatlantic flights leaving presumably with many F passengers. But getting a seat was easy and I had to wait 2 minutes for a booth, hardly a hardship.
To be honest the number of leisure travellers that have got to GGL through travelling even with double tier points can't be counted very high - there are only 3 on FT that are confirmed from the double tierpoints thread with maybe another handful racing to get there. 3500 tp GUF 1 sequence numbers shows 6 getting this a day.
So I can't comment on how it used to be but I haven't seen a problem in terms of overload yet.
