Still not working as I expected: I have 60K points (my account), and pool has 80k total points. Online won't let me purchase flights for 80K, but I am able to purchase for 60K (amount in my account). I went ahead and purchased flights for 60K and then the system pulled points from the pool oldest to newest and now I have 14K (my account) and 20K total in the pool.
From what I can tell: Online system pulled (pun intended) pool points up to the amount I have in my account. Can only spend up to the amount in your account, but spends the points in the pool in order of first in first out.
EXPECTATION: I was expecting all pooled points to be available and allow me to purchase flights with the pool total of 80K. But wouldn't let me do that.
