Does anyone have any recent experience on a HA Y > DL D1 flight with bag fees? I used miles for DL:ATL-OGG > HA:OGG-HNL, roundtrip. Then was able to use a RUC to upgrade ATL-OGG and OGG-ATL. So on the return I'm on a single 006 ticket with HNL-OGG on HA flight number in Y (bag fees apply) connecting to DL flight number in D1. Will HA see that the rest of the journey is in J and waive the fee or is it one of those YMMV deals based on agent and mood?
