I've had interactions with three types of Globalist concierges.

1) My first concierge who was friendly enough, and gives you the impression that the concierge is trying to help you, but actually isn't, and only did the barest minimum. Decently competent without being at all helpful. I begged to be switched to a different concierge, because there is no point in having one like that.

2) My current concierge, who was recommended in this thread and is everything that everyone said he was, amazing, Ed Quinn. Someone who absolutely deserves to be in a high level position because of his combination of impeccable competence plus compassion and real care for the Hyatt clients he works with.

3) Random concierges I was unlucky enough to speak with when my concierge was busy, concierges that don't even try to understand your issue and are quick to say no, that you're wrong or even actively argue with you, when in fact they're not really listening to what your issue is. Worse than the indifferent concierge, this one raises your blood pressure with every interaction.

From my understanding, every Globalist concierge is someone at Hyatt that has risen through the ranks and is considered a managerial level position, so it's shocking to me how bad some of them can be. In some ways the indifferent concierge who pretends to be helpful is worse than the openly bad ones because I would have taken certain things into my own hands and avoided issues.
