This was my first time at this hotel so I can’t compare what it was like before vs now. However, what I will say is that the room was clean, staff were helpful, and the executive lounge food and service was spot on. Prior to arrival I received a welcome email and they delivered on everything they said they’d provide. Email below:
I did check the app the morning of check in and it was only showing exec rooms left as well as the presidential suite. I booked base room on points for 5 nights and got exec with partial view so no complaints. I ate breakfast in the lounge everyday, buffet options were limited but I was able to order a la carte for no charge each morning. I found happy hour options to be varied and each day the options were completely different, but always very tasty. There were days when I’d miss breakfast or happy hour but the staff were still kind enough to bring me something to eat each time.
Funny thing that happened when I first arrived. I stood in the lobby (more of a parlour) for what felt like forever and no one acknowledged me. I wasn’t even sure if I was in the right place. I approached one of the desks that eventually freed up and once the front desk agent saw I was diamond they apologised for the wait, assigned me a personal concierge for the remainder of the stay and escorted me to exec lounge to check in. I was told never to wait so long again and to just let any staff know I’m diamond in future. Was all a bit strange but amusing too.
Seems like being diamond counts for something here. Overall good stay.
