My options - United (FF, not currently high status), JAL, or ANA. I would be booking Premium Economy. Cathay upgraded me about 60% of the time to business - I wonder if any of the carriers to Tokyo are quick on the upgrades?
Anyone who can compare the Premium Economy seats on the three above? Premium Economy in a separate cabin - or just front of the Economy?
Narita or Haneda - is one or the other better as a rule? I doubt that I will be continuing onto a domestic flight once in Japan, more likely going directly into Tokyo.
Any other comments on the ride with the three carrier possibilities would be most welcome.
Thanks!
I can't comment on the airlines as I don't fly from ORD, but for the airport, my view is HND is so much more convenient. This all depends where you're going, but I was getting from the airport to my hotel in Shinagawa in 25 minutes from HND.
In December I'll by flying UA LAX-NRT though. The option to HND was to transfer in SFO, which I didn't want.
