I found the north side calmer, but felt the south facing rooms had better views (a lot less traffic). As for the 500's or 100's I wouldn't think it would matter. It isn't a large island, I'm 54, haven't ridden a bike since I was probably 16, and had no trouble hopping on and biking around. If we were a bit more "dressed" for dinner, your GEMS will always come and pick you up. They were always on time.
