I have had many greetings by name over the years and not all as Gold.
So really not sure on the difference.
The 'greeting' is an acknowledgement that you are Gold as per service standards although it should be a separate acknowledgement (e.g. 'welcome back' 'lovely to have you onboard again') to recognise that the customer is Gold. Some crew specifically mention gold some are a bit more subtle in their approach and there is no set script to try make it natural.
