Id maybe defend ORD as being tough to put in a proper, premium but cost-effective lounge experience. The flight bank times and flight lengths make it difficult to eat solely on the ground (like JFK to maximize sleep), or the ground and air (like LAX). If you are connecting on to/ from an AA or UA flight well then you have access to those really nice (apparently? I usually terminate in ORD) lounges so why bother with a single European airline lounge or need to be in the lounge longer than 30 minutes? The smart thing would be to fold a bunch of carriers into single alliance lounges in the new OHare layout. Perhaps with all the changes going on that is what they are waiting on for an upgrade.
That being said, how does the current BA offering compare to a similar market like, say, Dallas?
