I'm about 400 days from GE expiration. I'm thinking about moving over to Nexus. If I were to apply for Nexus now that would not invalidate my current GE and that would remain active until expiration correct?

Given how long Nexus applications seem to be taking would it be advisable to also renew the GE in say 6 months to prevent GE from expiring?

Does anyone know why on the DHS website under GE it says "includes PreCheck" but for Nexus it says "may include PreCheck". Is there some scenario where Nexus does not include PreCheck?
