Don't be too quick to write off every SFO HH property. I think I have stayed at all except one if the Hampton Inns, Daly City. I favor the North Airport/Brisbane Doubletree, though it is geographically isolated. The other north-of-the-airport DT is a conversion/reflag (Holiday Inn, I think) that I wouldn't necessarily recommend. (I stayed during transition. ) Long and short of it, despite being the full-service brand, the SFO Hilton isn't the best of the HH bunch.
Following up your post, I just checked with the North Airport/Brisbane property and their airport shuttle runs 5-9 AM and 5-9 PM only. These post-Covid days it's always worth checking. We've been burned once at a TRU near Dallas Love Field, and inconvenienced on another stay so I always check FWIW.
