Is anyone able to describe (again) the pros and cons of Row 1, specifically 1D & F? I'm attracted by the larger footwell, and don't mind the lack of center overhead bins. But trying to figure out privacy and whether proximity to the lav is bothersome. I'm gravitating to the forward cabin in lieu of Row 9 because I am concerned about meal choices -- but is that a thing of the past due to pre-orders? Personally I am happy with 1DF. I never noticed much galley sounds making it to the seat, although use earplugs when sleeping and am not that sensitive to noise. 1F sort of has a view of the lav but it's not quite a straight shot, and I don't find it bothersome either.
Seats 9DF have basically the same considerations, so I don't see any reason to go for those if 1DF available.
