I would consider it highly unreasonable for the hotel not to provide the housekeeping contractor's contact information if they deem to absolve themselves of any responsibility. I suppose filing a police report would be the most prudent avenue if you've not already left the area. It may be a petty crime, but still one that is punishable by law, especially if it is a regular occurrence at this property.
