Even in Business Class you can select many seats without status, mainly windows near the front of the Business Cabin are blocked for OWE.
In First Class most seats are available for assignment without status. On the 777-300ER the only seats blocked in F for OWE are 1A and 1K and even those become available for airport assignment if not already taken by OWE.
