FI uses its two 753s pretty aggressively, so I doubt they are looking to part ways with either of them. I don't think United would touch any of the Ukrainian 753s.
All great points. Does the stored 753 has hail damage? UA seems to be going the new aircraft route in the present environment. It wasn't long ago, though pre-2020, when they were shopping for piles of used A319s and 73Gs. If they could induct China Southern frames full of speed tape, I think maintenance capabilities could take on a handful of European 753s. Two of the Azur Air 753s were flying for Condor until March 2020, and are leased from BCC. They can't be that bad, but who wants to go get them?

Like United, Delta seems to be more of a new aircraft buyer. (DL is picking up various used 739ERs.) I wonder if this could change for both airlines. There are many good aircraft in storage. Virgin Australia sold (or returned) their newish 773ERs to lessors. While I don't expect UA to pick up those specific aircraft, it's an example that it could be a used aircraft buyer's (lessee) market.
