Ok I can help you with the suite not showing in booking. If it is either a points booking or, for some reason, the hotel is not allowed to reserve the suite for you (in my case, I've had more people than the suite officially allows on a reservation, despite the hotel being ok with the number of guests) then you will not get a confirmation of the suite. The hotel will have it reserved internally and you can ask them for an email stating what suite you have if you want to have some written proof.

As for when the TSU shows as used, I haven't the foggiest idea. It's worked both ways for me before...it has always been deducted immediately, but it just doesn't show as used right away. If I tried to apply the supposedly still "available" TSU to another reservation, the agent would tell me it wasn't available.
