Pro tip: pay for some nights on a nicer room, then use points on the last few. Have them combine and violllllllla; you're in the nice room for the remainder session.
**Don't abuse it by doing pay 1 nights and points 4 nights, but it generally is fine.
That is a hack that may or may not work in your favor. The hotel can force you to move if they don't have the nicer room available during the second reservation.
