Personal preference of course but an upgrade to the Deluxe View Rooms at the front of the Hotel with either a small balcony or French doors (ask for a xx66 room) is much nicer than the dark and pokey entry level suites.

Other post covid changes are the same as most hotels - slightly worse service due to staff storages, cheaper toiletries, drop in the quality of some ingredients at breakfast, rooms showing more wear and tear: nothing out of the ordinary for the new reality.

Saw the GM taking Mr Walker home a couple of months ago - so still around. He's very popular, especially with young kids, so suspect that a "Mr Walker" will be around for quite a while - even if down the track he is actually quietly exchanged for a new one!
At least the Bark Hyatt Ring Master has no complaints pre covid or post covid as long as he gets fed.
