I know I would prefer having this be something the $300 VentureX travel portal credit can be applied against. If that's not the case this becomes significantly less interesting than the AMEX Platinum FHR program (which does allow for a $200 cardholder annual credit to be applied against it) or the similar Chase program (where the $300 CSR credit should also be usable against their luxury hotel program).
