Not an above and beyond response - but fair considering they were not at fault.
I think if you push back they should be able to give you some more points back - I would write a polite note to customer service and stress that economy/business on a 14+ hour flight are totally different products with a typical price difference of $2000 vs $7000 roundtrip, and this makes you lose faith in their partnership with Qatar etc etc. Guaranteed they will give you some more voucher back.
Yes its not Alaska's fault but they are a faceless corporation that earns millions in revenue from partnership agreements, you don't have to feel bad for them. Get what's yours.
