Are the cards issued with CDC logo sufficient to prove the vaccination and booster shots were administered? Japanese government is very particular about the PCR testing stating the technique used. I don't know how else to prove the vaccines however. I was quarantined for 3 days in March 2022 because the PCR tests didn't say 'nasal swab' so I'm suspicious.
They pretty much unofficially dropped that terminology around May and informally accept whatever the collection method stated - believe me, that freaked me out while in Europe and I actually got two tests at two different labs just in case and if I recall correctly, they still accepted the one that didn't quite match the required collection method (although I was a returnee, so maybe that was reason).
