2 nights ago I canceled a flight within 24 hours that I had paid for partially with a $207 travel credit from a rebooked flight last April. There was a notice on the screen before actually canceling that it was eligible for the 24 hour refund, but would take manual processing that could take 7-10 days. That's fine and good that they warned me. For the credit card refund no issues, but I'd really like to be able to reuse the travel credit for another trip ASAP (my account shows none available currently)

- Is there any point to calling, i.e. can an agent manually process the refund to get the travel credit to appear?

- The original travel credit showed an expiration date of 12/31/2023 due to whatever extensions were given. When the refund is processed and travel credit reappears, will it take on that original date (which would be fine), or be a year from now (i.e. earlier, sometime in October 2023) if the same extensions don't apply? If I know I'll still have until the end of next year, it's less pressing to use it on this upcoming trip.
