Stayed here recently.
Pros and cons below:
PROS
-Hotel is located fairly close to the old historic part of Nice, which involves a 10 minute walk around the nearby park called "Jardin Albert 1er". A "modern" part of the city with many restaurants is also close by.
-Beach is just in front of the hotel (a 2 min walk away). Be aware the beaches in Nice have stones (no sand) and so are much harder to walk on with bare feet.
-There is a parking garage right under the hotel, but this must be paid for separately as it's not directly affiliated with the hotel. Price is about 25 euro per day. Have the hotel porter at the entrance help you to buy a cheaper ticket at the machine for multi day stays. There is an elevator that leads directly from the hotel to the garage, but it's pretty small. I found it easier to use the main garage elevator and walk around the hotel at street level to access the hotel.
-There is a medium sized pool and restaurant and bar area on the roof, The views from the top of the hotel are really amazing as you can see the entire curvature of the Nice beach coastline all the way to Nice airport, and it would be worth it to eat or drink up there just to appreciate the views, even if you aren't staying at this hotel.
-Walk-in showers in the bathrooms
-Windows CAN be opened for fresh air.
CONS
-You will only get a proper balcony/terrace (that you walk out or sit on) if you are on the higher floors (floor 7 or higher I think). All other so called "balcony rooms" (floors 1 to 6 I think) is just a small protrusion outside the window that is fairly useless.
-Despite already having booked one of the very expensive large terrace rooms on the higher floors, my suite night awards were declined. A small upgrade to a partial sea view room was granted though.
-Many rooms face the inner courtyard where you will have zero views of anything, and even many external facing rooms look directly onto other (ugly) buildings. The only rooms worth getting at this hotel are either the "sea" (beach) or "garden" (park) view rooms. If your room does not face the beach or the park ("Jardin Albert 1er"), then I strongly recommenced choosing another hotel as you will feel pretty ripped off considering how expensive this hotel is.
-Bathrooms and separate toilet rooms are quite small, even in the larger rooms on the higher floors.
-The rooftop pool and bar/restaurant area is on the 10th floor, and the elevators only go to floor 9. Access to last floor must be done on foot by the steps, which are not obvious to find.
-As other have mentioned the resting area around the swimming pool is quite narrow and there isn't much space to sit and get sunshine. About 10 seats maximum.
-Considering how expensive this hotel is, I found it somewhat subpar in terms of state of the rooms and common areas. Many things (doors, carpets, fixtures and fittings) look worn or used, and it feels like a 4 star hotel at best. I did not see a concierge at the hotel either.
