Well there certainly is not a way to say "no." You either change them or you can't get rid of the SIM card.
After removing all those SIMs and being forced to update the contacts, I have a bunch of iMessages/Calling from a few friends that don't work. Basically I have some friends that I've known for ages and we all travel a lot so we've had many multiple numbers going back years. It seems it updated some of those old numbers to supercede their latest numbers as primary, and now I gotta go and sort that all out manually. Annoying. Really annoying. Probably more annoying as having left all the SIM entries there.
So I again I have to ask, why isn't there the "delete sim and do not update contacts" option. Anyway sorry to hijaack the thread. For 99% of folks I'm sure its fine but this is the kind of stuff I expect Apple to get right, and drives me nuts when I don't get the option to do nothing.
