Thank you, Luxury for your comments. I printed numerous pages on P de G from previous posts. Lots of reading to do.

Mrakant.......Thank you too for your offer. Have better part of 4 days (arrive early Fri., depart 6 PM Mon.) to tour around Paris. Other than main attractions (Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, etc.), looking to find maximum use of that time. My daughter (24) going with me. She loves history (me too). Should we look for a land tour or wander around on our own? Don't know a word of French.
Have the P de G on Starwood points, so plan to stay with that as long as it is a nice hotel. Although it may not be up to the 4 Seas. Geo. V, is it in a league with the St. Regis in DC or the Palace in SF? Starwood thinks so. I like them.
