We were flying AA on QF codeshare flight number.

Agent not at all interested in QF flight number. Told me that AA only pays for one guest and I needed to decide which of the family I would guest.

I got to the bottom of the escalator and was about to call the P1 team when someone came down after me and relented and showed us all to a reserved table.
So it seems that QF metal or not matters.

First Lounge access rules for OWE and Plats.
Permitted Guests: "Has a Qantas (QF) or oneworld member airline flight number on your ticket
One adult and up to two children (4-17 years) travelling on a Qantas or oneworld member airline flight number"

I do not think this was the case. Never had success when flying CX out of SYD. Kids count as guests not kids.
