I hope infant is treated differently, but I had a few days ago a case where my 7 year old was put in a different row. We ended flying, after talks with CS and check-in, in the system with mrs niksal in 1D, niksal jr 7 in 1F, niksal jr 9 in 2F and me in 1C. We obviously swapped so I sat in 2F and jr 9 in 1C. Point being, I wouldn’t count on that 12yr ”rule”.
