Going to do this tomorrow since i read Tues is usually the cheapest day to book because companies cancel fully refundable tickets on mon.

Why would a non-stop to Lis be $200 more than a longer flight with connections (jfk-bcn)?
Nonstop flights can frequently command a premium over connections, because many passengers prefer nonstop travel. On December 3, Air Europa will fly you from JFK to LIS for just $332 -- but you'd have to change planes in MAD.
