My wife and I both have QR accounts independently. Tonight I have tried to create a family account ( stupidly before reading flyertalk)

My reasons for linking is to try and pool the BAEC pooled avios as I do not have sufficient Avios in either my BAEC account or my QR account, even when combined.

Am I correct that linking will not help me and there little point to me linking the accounts as planned.
