hm.. I can also leave directly from New Orleans (msy) on Dec 1 instead of spending a couple of days in NYC to visit family.

but fares with 1 stopover from MSY to LIS that doesn't involve PDL ($600) are more than:
dec 1 msy - lga on Jetblue
dec 3 jfk - bcn (using your hack to get off at Lis)
$456 total

Any hacks from msy to LIS, one way?
