I think referring to the breakfast here as incredible is a bit OTT… and the hotels you compared it to have poor breakfast offerings anyway. The size of this hotel caters for quantity rather than quality. I would manage expectations if staying here.
And yes, elites can have breakfast downstairs.
I know other Marriott properties may offer better breakfast, but the problem is they are not free for elite.
