I could be missing something, but I'm fairly sure I'm getting lower prices when searching first on Google Flights (which brings me directly to Air Canada's site to book) vs. searching directly on on aircanada.com.
For example, right now, for flight 793 on Dec. 28 (YYZ to LAX):
- searching on aircanada.com, it's $527 CAD for a standard fare
- searching on Google Flights, it's $463 for the exact same flight. This brings me to aircanada.com, and the fare seems real, as I went through to the final page of the booking process. Interestingly, Google also gives me the option to book via United, where the price is $527.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known phenomenon? Feeling pretty dumb right now, because I just booked tickets for a family of 4 (36 hours ago, of course), and had I just searched through Google Flights first I would have saved hundreds of dollars.
