It might be in this case that as the OP is not a BAEC member that avios could not be credited.
In this case applying the value of Avios as 1p then £800 compensation may be appropriate but I appreciate that is subjective.
One the things with CS as opposed to CW is that the footstool is really quite far away so from an upright position it's difficult to put your feet up on CS. I found this at 6'4.
